I have owned my DX80 for approximately 16 months now. The original battery gave me just about 4 hours of play time on high gain at volume levels 100-120. I sent it to China from Hawaii for battery replacement about 5 months ago which Ibasso took care of promptly. Battery life seems closer to 10hrs of playback now. I sent it USPS air mail and it took about a month to reach. I don't think tracking was available to China through USPS and using a private carrier w/tracking was twice as expensive, $50+ so used I used USPS.

At the time of servicing, I mentioned in my email correspondence with Paul/Ibasso that I was having issues with playback of any music files with higher than 16/44 resolution. I believe Ibasso said they replaced a capacitor along with the battery when my unit was in for servicing. Anyway, I am still having the same issue with playback of high res files, the unit will start skipping then just stop playing and make a loud hissing sound. On rare occasion, the high res files will play back ok after taking the cards out and loading some new music. Then the next time this process is done, files will start skipping again. My music folders have just the music files, a cue file if necessary and a small jpeg cover image. Rescanning the cards is never an issue as it goes to 100% scanned no problem. This problem has occurred with all fw upgrades. I am using the very common SanDisk Ultra Plus 64gb cards and the files play perfectly in my 3 year old Fiio X3. Does anyone have any suggestions at what the problem is or what can be done?? Outside of this issue, its been a great music player as most of my music is in 16/44 format, but the issue is frustrating none the less.

+1 above. This stp.d sorting bug is very annoying. And despite my messages to Paul from iBasso nothing is done. Seems to be that DX80 is abandoned by software team since DX200 release.
I agree entirely, how awful that iBasso just abandons a great player for one stupid little thing that should be so easy to fix!
I think that all of us who are concerned about this should publicise it as much as possible in this and other forums, as well as FB, Twitter etc.!

I have just written to ibasso via their contact page - http://ibasso.com/contact.php - asking...

I am waiting for the next firmware update for the DX80, which I hope will fix the bug where tracks are played in alphabetical order by default, rather than by track number.

When will this be fixed? I believe it is of great importance, as the DX80 is a great player, but severely hampered by this oversight!

If anyone else could do the same perhaps they will actually do something!

Promises promises. Last DX80 firmware is dated on August 2016. Nearly one year passed.

That is what my wife says when I promise to do something. Then I surprise her.

I just noticed the reply you got. I have to correct this. It will be within this month, not this week.

Well, while disappointing, I suppose a few weeks is not too long. I look forward to having it before the end of May.

When I say "the end of May", I mean the end of the month of May, not the end of the unelected British Prime Minister, who's end, I hope, will be on the 8th of June!
