Is the battery working normally for you with the new firmware when the player is in use and not in sleep mode?

We have fixed the issue of battery drain in standby/sleep.

There is a "hot fix" FW update to the newest FW? I guess I missed it being posted. But great job in getting a quick fix in play iBasso! :)

Edit: I see the FW for android 11 posted on the main page, but I don't see the fix you are talking about.

It hasn't been posted yet. I was making sure it is discharge happening only when in sleep or standby mode. We saw an error in the software for that but no where else related to battery use.

The New DX300 firmware: http://www.ibasso.com/uploadfiles/download/DX300FW-ota-v2.01.zip

This is a local update and you would download this, open the download and there will be a folder with the new firmware inside. You can place this on an SD card and then do a local update. This is for the battery drain issue when in Standby/sleep mode.

What would be the best way to test if the battery is discharging abnormally in other states?
Turn it on, don't play or use any apps, let it sit... note the battery drain over time. :)

So, I assume that means that you must have the 2.00 FW installed before installing this then? Or, is it a standalone install?

They are all stand alone. I haven't seen one ibasso firmware update that required any previous updates.

But applies only if running Android 11?
It would seem. If you did not change to the firmware that updated the DX300 to Android 11, then it won't matter.

That is why I asked also. I am still on the older FW, but if they have fixed the issues, I may update, and wanted to know if I needed to install 2.00 first (to be on android 11, then 2.01, or if it was standalone and I could simply install 2.01?!

Thank you for update. I updated a couple of hours ago, and the issue seems to be fixed. No abnormal battery drain any more.

I checked it for a short time after the update.
The battery is no longer abnormally low when going to standby after playing music.

Initialized
Google Plya Store installed
Wi-Fi: On
Using microSD with music
Battery: A100%/D99%.
Stopped after 10 seconds of music playback on Mango Player
Go to sleep mode by pressing the wheel

Check after 30 minutes
A100%/D99%

Version 2.0 had 3% drain after 20 minutes of sleep

Another positive on the new update. In standby, with Wi-Fi on, for about 4 hours. Analog did not drop at all, and digital dropped 1%. Nice work @Paul - iBasso and team tracking down the issue! So far seems like it is resolved.

has anyone encountered "Failed to install update package" on the newest v2.01 update? ever since the 2.0 update I couldn't downgrade to the previous version via 660 tool, and now couldn't update to the v2.01 update.

Try re-installing 2.0, then try 2.1 again.
