Try re-installing 2.0, then try 2.1 again.
I couldn't install any updated file on my dx300, even through the 660 tools, tried versions 1.07, 2.0, and 2.01, but nothing works..

What version does it say you have on it now?

Keep in mind that depending on whether you are using the 660 tool the files needed are different. There is a standalone file for doing a local update from the DX300, and then there is an image file that only can be used with the 600 tool. Bottom line is there are two different files for every FW version, one for the 660 tool, and one for a local update from the DX300 itself.

I am on version 2.0. I have use the image file and followed the doc’s instruction. I’m guessing something was corrupted in my dx300, neither local file pay update or 660tool image works..

make sure you have unzipped the downloaded file, there's another zip file inside and that's the one needed for the update
Yes, I’ve followed all the steps. On the 660 tool it shows "Download fail: Sahara Fail:QSaharaServer Fail: Process Fail" after trying to install the update for 1-2 min. With local file update "Failed to install update package" showed up. Tried to downgrade since I installed the 2.0 update via local file when it first released but failed, I thought perhaps something was wrong on my dx300 when downgrading so I waited for the update to come out. But still no luck with 2.01, couldn’t update..

I would try and download an older FW version (the image file) and use the 660 tool to downgrade. Once you have it installed where everything works ok, then try and update to the newest again.

Are you able to use the DX300?

Oh i had this happen to me. Something to do with the files being read only. Need to make sure they aren’t read only on Windows. After i made sure it wasn’t read only i could install the image files provided.

How do you make it not read only?

I’ve tried downgrade to v1.07 from v2.0 but it didn’t work.
Yes, my dx300 works but v2.0 is giving me very bad battery drain..

Hi all, it seems that a number of issues were reported with the latest update. Is the consensus that these have all been resolved with 2.01, or are there still outstanding issues? Should I upgrade, or wait?

thanks
Nick

Unknown at this point, as the fix was just released. I am still going to wait just a bit longer until there is confirmation of these issues being resolved. :)

And I'm wanting to confirm, when it does look good, that Android 9 users can go straight to 2.01 and bypass 2.0 (still includes Android 11).
