iBasso Audio DX300 Side Profile

Design Overview
4pcs CS43198 DAC, 2 batteries one for Digital and one for Analogue. Our own FPGA chip and the Snapdragon 660 for Two controllers. Android 9 OS, 6.5inch capacitive full screen. Stock AMP11 module is 2.5,4.4,3.5 and all can be used for line out. The back is a matt finished glass.

Separate Analog & Digital Power Supplies
The power supply is one of the most crucial parts of a system and affects audio quality in a positive or negative way. In the DX300’s power supply, we have innovatively used separate analog and digital power supplies with independent power supply management systems. The analog section is powered by a dedicated battery without any interference from the other sections. This ensures that the analog section is receiving extremely clean DC.

FPGA-Master: A Dedicated Controller
In the traditional audio players, the SoC and the OS are in charge of many tasks at the same time. Audio playback isn’t the main process and often doesn’t have the highest priority. The DX300 features a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) to eliminate the negative influence from the OS’ multi-task processes. The FPGA works between the SoC and the Digital to Analog Converter (DAC). It is dedicated to requesting data from the SoC, then sending that data to the DAC. In this application, the FPGA is working in a master mode in the entire audio process using two Accusilicone Fentosecond oscillators as the clocks while synchronizing all audio clocks. The FPGA and oscillators also reduce jitter to an extremely low level, building a clean digital audio signal.

Man, I love Ibasso...used to own the excellent DX80, but I really really dont like modules. I wish they'd have a dap without that...the only one is that monstrosity Ibasso DX540000000i Titanium Overdrive DAP they got.

DX160 is a lovely DAP with lots of power and no modules. Love mine alongside the Sony ZX500 Walkman. The 300 is building on what made the 160 popular while taking it to the next level.

Ibasso actually has the DX300 at $1,199.00

why 6GB of ram for a DAP? 4GB probably plenty for a qcom 660. i bet more people would've appreciated 256GB of storage and 4GB of ram.

Really nice looking dap, it’s a pass for me though, not a fan of those dacs, haven’t heard a single dap or dac/amp with the CS43198 that I’ve liked including the old cheaper A&K sr15. Also I wonder the amp design that it’s able to have 1,240mW at 32ohms but drastically drops to 168mW at 300ohms vs the HiBy R8 1088mW at 32ohms and 320mW at 300ohms and the Fiio m15 has 800mW at 32ohms and 280mW at 300ohms. Unusually large drop in power as the ohms go up.

digital audio player, not a game player. and with the 660, you think there are any games, much less, much less, multitasking that need 6GB of ram. you'll get use for multitasking but I don't think 2 extra gigs will be that noticeable on a non flagship SOC with android pie. pie is when ram management got more consistent. and really? who is buying this to play games? there's much better options. without cirrus logic at that.
