Playing with the DAC volume. I will have to check the manual.

Looks like what is on the display is the digital volume level of the DAC and real volume level is only visible on the volume knob.

Playing from a Micro SD Card, now thinking i should have loaded up to the internal memory - just to be safe...

What do you mean by this, can there be sound or performance differences SD vs. internal? Asking because I seem to have settled with DX160 to use almost all of my internal storage for Soundcloud offline downloads, and the rest on SD card(s).

i thought less in the chain so to speak.

but then i remembered factory resets and the such after firmware updates and i remembered why i use micro sd cards

so no real drama <3 just random thoughts and general worriment.

Can you also compare the CPU frequency tunings of DX220 and Max? You can use the 'CPU Info' and / or CPU-Z apps. I was wondering if iBasso due to the larger space and battery allowed higher clock for the CPU, which could improve the responsiveness.
