That's how the DX220 is, also. At first, it felt weird... but since I use my DAPs a lot at work, plugged in to power, it quickly became something I loved.

me too. I just hope that the MAX is not only a 220 with more power for demanding headphones, otherwise it will be of no use for people using IEM or easy to drive headphones. I hope they will also refine and improve the DAC and the storage over the DX220 to offer not only more power but also a better sound.

Max is all about sound quality for sure. The internal storage has been discussed to shred already . You can always do 1Tb card

Paul already disclosed that DX220Max will have

1/ The highest quality components

2/ Discrete implementations of Amplifying circuitry

3/ Using the same platform as Dx220

4/ Analog volume knob attenuations

5/ 5 battery packs similar to DMP Z1, 1 for digital processing, and 4 pack with each going into the Amplifying circuitry

what is more that you would like to see ? Technically speaking, it is going to be built for everything about music. If you want to hear and listen to it, then yeah....that is going to be a long wait
