What is interesting, is how good the single ended sounds, since I have been using balanced out of my daps a lot. The sound is like it is endless.

any RF EMI noise from nearby devices?, former ibasso stuff was disgusting with the RF, im wondering if the new power isolation in this max model fixed it...

I agreed !!! It look surprisingly portable
Honestly, I was surprised as well. I thought it will be bigger and heavier. For sure, this is not a compact pocket friendly DAP, but considering how much it packs, including the battery partitioning (2 separate charges required, DC and USB-C), it's not that bad to take it with you to the office or when using public transportation. Can even carry it on the go in a backpack. Would be cool to have one of those Dignis-like carrying cases with a shoulder strap.

I am so torn about this one, I want to buy one because I know iBasso produces top sounding products but I don’t really want something that I can’t stick in my pocket when I’m moving around the house, I also don’t want two DAPs.

Ugh.

None that I have heard. Very black background that music comes out from.

Huge soundstage. Listening mostly with the SR1, the Focal Utopia and the Stellia. Wonderful bass quality and all the separation you could ask for. Live music gives you goosebumps.

I just got it out of the box, but don't worry, review was already written a week ago.... j/k :p

Of course in the review queue, and I'm planning to keep it on burn in for awhile so it doesn't distract me from finishing other reviews (the last two months has been like an open flood gate of review samples).

What is the weight of Dx220 Max? One thing which iBasso did right with this one is they went with the philosophy of either portable(to be carried in pockets) or not at all. Not to be hanging in between. Its good it does not pretend to be portable.
