There is no way to use DX200 or 220 with DSD512.

This file is very high demanding of processing power and consumption power

The WM1Z is still very hard to beat if you use PCM and crave for that of a more analog style.

I had the DX200 as soon as it was out until last year I sold and got the SP1000M, and then the WM1Z - the main reason being the wireless DAC mode. I also had the Hugo2 around the same time. All the new DAPs now support the wireless DAC mode and I was already pretty happy with the DX200 from the SQ point of view and no reason to stay with a twice as expensive DAP. Modular design is also what sets it really apart and now the Nutube module. So, going back to what I was happy with already (except the software, but the Lurker FW is awesome to get around it).

Do you mean DX200 only supports the DSD512 in USB DAC mode but not as a file on the storage device? I never tried anything more than DSD128 on DX200.

I'll be shocked if there isn't an SoC upgrade. I'm sure IBasso gets enough feedback on the relative sluggishness of the DX200 to know an upgrade is mandatory, especially with an apparent screen resolution increase.

My only other hope is better Wifi performance

Anybody on this thread going to Canjam SG who can be our eyes and ears?

If the Japanese guy's tweet is accurate, that would be a tad of a bummer for me.

I was kind of looking forward to the Korg NuTube and was willing to get the DX220 if the general CPU was decent.

Interface is kind of a big deal for me. I'm not such a purist audiophile that I choose devices that pick audio over all else. Tried that, and really despise the Opus #3 interface, almost thinking of selling it maybe. Also tried with the Cayin N5ii, and while scrolling smooth, every major action, like play, pause, next track, is really delayed, and overall the system is just incredibly slow. Have the R3, and while power on is fast, the interface drives me a little batty.

Guess I'll be sticking with the R6.

There is now another option I'm looking at, but it's so ridiculously over my budget, it's a big unlikely leaning just a wee bit towards....maybe I can save....
