I would like to trade up my Special edition beta for a brand spanking new 2020 version. That would be aweome. Cus my specail edition is not so special anymore.

But in all honesty if the sound is the exact same. For my scenario at least, I wasnt using wifi or bluetooth anyway so it doesn't change how great the player sounds. But to be honest, you have to wonder if they addressed more than the few things that they posted that is improved.

Ibasso got some explaning to do.

Agreed! As I just bought my "Beta" DX160 a week ago and I am a first time buyer of an iBasso product, this does not sit right with me.

Yeah releasing something so fast is a bad move for both old and new customers. Really dislike this kinda move in every situation Daps/smartphones alike. Why not just spend more time polishing one product for a year, instead of releasing 2-3 per year...

1. old customers will feel like they got scammed and the "beta" testers.
2. new customers might feel hesitant buying if they know or think that they will just release the next version in another month

Crappy move since the haven't fixed the bluetooth or wifi in the current model, and basically act like it doesn't exist. I understand these Chinese companies need revenue, and need it fast. To try and gouge loyal customers like this is a BIG mistake.

Guess it's up to the challenge consumer to support or not support this type of nonsense.

Every company updates, it is to be expected. I just bought a 2020 Toyota Supra and 1 month after I bought it, they announced they are coming out with the 2021. More horse power, a little different suspension and some other tweaks. And the Supra isn't a dap for 399. I don't care, I bought it, enjoy it and am not going to whine about it. It still makes my wife's face look like we are blasting off for the moon when I hit the gas and she starts drooling out one side of her mouth.lol She hates it. lol

just because companies updates doesnt make a bad thing less bad. Updating something so fast Is just a bad move for consumers and I see no reason to defend that.

I have been a loyal Ibasso fan for a long time. Love all their stuff but. I will keep a very sharp eye on if the wifi and bluetooth is miraculously better on the new 2020 version. Then we will know the real reason for the quick update.

I plan on moving onto a new Shanling anyhow but this will be interesting. Oh an I can guarantee there will be no updgrade program. I would love to be wrong though.
