I'm still using my older 160 and loving its sound. The only glitch I have is in the volume control at the knob. Not huge but niggling. I have not really consider the lurker mod. May try it it sometime. Hope you're well...

By the way the mod really doesn't change the software side it's exactly the same , it's just the add ons and it acts and looks exactly the same ...
Most who know the mod know this anyway but for those that don't .

I installed the Lurker update and thus I was able to install UAPP. I was connecting Tidal from there. I also tried an old version of Tidal, 2.27. Now I'm going to try to install the ones you're telling me.

Tidal also works well through Plexamp, which is a great app if you also stream from a Plex server, as I do. It will search both your Plex library and Tidal together, allow you to play from your own collection or Tidal. Solid UI, too.

Does anybody tell me what are the differences in sound quality overall between dx160 and dx300 not counting higher output power? What are the difference in sound signature? I have sold my dx160 and looking for something to step up in sound quality

Improvements with this firmware:

1. Rectified the bug that there is a possibility that the physical buttons do not respond.
2. Rectified the bug that the play/pause operation from the Bluetooth devices does not work.
3. Rectified the bug that made the DX160 unable to use the USB C to USB C cable to transfer files with Mac devices.
4. Rectified the bug that there is no output when playing some DSD files.

Instructions For Firmware update:

1. Copy and paste the DX160-ota-full-1.07.250.zip to your SD card's root folder, or the DX160's internal memory.
2. Go to Android OS, press Settings-->System-->Updater-->local update, and tap the zip file.
3. The whole update will take about 10 minutes. Reboot the DX160 after update completed. You can also choose to do a factory reset at this time to clear any artifacts from the previous firmware.

Right off the bat, 5 GHz wifi stopped working.

Edit: I was wrong, when the airplane mode is on then only 2.4 Ghz wifi will work.

Add-on v.1.29 is compatible with firmware 1.07.250.

Mango OS has been updated from DX220 firmware 1.19.324. So far I performed only a quick test, hoping that it will work not worse than the previous build.
