Regarding the blow on the corner , you should mention it to the seller and ask for a replacement or if you don't want a replacement a little discount...I would have prefer a replacement because no proof it did not fall

I'm in doubt about the replacement. The reseller told me that he will send me a new device, but just the device (wihtout box and protective films) because it is the replacement by warranty from iBasso. He also assured me that is a new device. The express courier will take mine defected and deliver the new one.
I will let you know.

By the way, I'm doing a comparison between DX160 and Sony A105 (japanese). They both sound very good, but the DX160 has more powerful and brightness and air. I will sell the A105 to finance some new headphones or IEMs.

You would return just the DX160 then and keep the box etc., that it came in.

My DX160 has just arrived! Incredible fast shipping (24hrs). I have some doubts:

1) I'd like to know how I can recognize that is actually a 2020 version. I'm sure that on my 2019 version there was the year "2019" printed on the back, and this one has got "2020", but I don't know if it is enough to recognize it.

2) It has arrived with a small blow in the corner, but there aren't scratches, is it possible that is a factory defect? Or maybe has it fallen?

3) I noticed that the dap is getting hot easily, more easily than I remember about my 2019 version that I sold some months ago.

It depends on what do you mean by that: actually, for end user, all iBasso DAPs are rooted out of the box. Just connect it to a computer with adb installed, and type "adb root"!

I'm just listening at work to Sophie Hunger's new album with the DX160 driving my FH3s and its just sublime. Notwithstanding my dissatisfaction concerning the wifi implementation of my very early model, the DX160 is simply excellent where it really counts. Makes my LG V40 sound rather bland...

On the latest firmware...DX160 sounds closer to the ZX500...Been doing a side by side comparison on filter 3. With Lurker mod installed. Mango OS imaging is so much better and closed the gap significantly. This is with Direct mode for both.No EQ. So for the money DX160 is worth every penny and some. ZX is only about 5-8% better at this point. This is a sound comparison only.

how do you access the mango mode? i installed lurker's mod but I can only launch the app not the mango os itself.. nvmind...found it ..

I am sorry for being a PITA but can someone please guide me in regard to just rooting the device so I can use masgik modules and xposed etc.
