$499 MSRP is competitive. The DX80 was my first post-ipod DAP, and I was very happy with it, except for the UI. When the DX200 came out, I was tempted but could not get myself to justify a one grand price tag. At half that price, and with a nice UI, plus the added perk of the AMP6 (apparently), this might be the right time for me to go back.

Ohhhh.....I'd be all over this if I'd not just purchased an LG V30+ smartphone with its awesome quad DAC.

Might still have to get it...... See what price comes out at in UK.

Not followed the ibasso dap series much, what's the average battery life like?

Don't know about the DX200, but the DX80's battery lasted pretty long, a good 12 hours easy.

DX200 is around 7 hr.
