Received the DX150. Excellent build quality, snappy interface and nice accessories. From a quick listen and comparing it with DX200 with Amp1, DX150 with Amp6 still neutral but with a touch more bass. I really like what I’m hearing. What can I say, kudos to iBasso, I’m pretty sure this Dap will be a success.

@Lurker0 are you close to having a ROM for the 150?

Just got my DX150, my Mac doesn't recognise it, even though I changed the USB settings to file transfer. Anyone got a link to a User Manual? I can't seem to find one online, and it's not available on the iBasso downloads link.

I can't release it wihout my own tests. My DX150 is already in Moscow since Wednesday, but still not in my hands. The next weekend I'll be far from home, so don't expect anything before the 2nd week of May.

You need to download Android File Transfer for Mac. It works fine with that.

Thanks pal. It'd be great though if iBasso would include the file in the standard app setup, or at least provide the relevant info to the customers .They don't even provide a Quick Start guide, nor is there a User Manual available for download. I didn't have any such issue with the Cayin N5ii, which is recognized as mass memory right out of the box.

In looking at the guide for the DX200, it is pretty much all the same for the DX150 from what I have seen.

Yeah, I downloaded it and checked it out, no mention of the need to install an app in order to transfer files. Also, the DX200 comes with a Quick Start guide, they could have added it iwith the DX150 without breaking the bank.

Any idea how it is vs Fiio Q5 on 2 x AK4490? I like how Fiio implemented AKM chips - not very typical for AKM tight and fast bass, and with overall neutral tuning.
Wondering how the DX150 sounds, especially in the bass section. Would be nice to have a DAP as well if it is close to Q5 sound wise. Don't like a warm sounding AKM.

Mate, I would love to hear some words about how the DX150 sounds because I am really struggling between DX150, Hiby R6 and Plenue R and the only reference I have is DX200 with AMP1. If I could afford it, I'd go for DX200 without a hesitation but... :<

Haven't heard the Q5 but the X5iii which also uses 2 x AK4490 is definitely a warm AKM.
