I might have to go through it again.

(I edited it )to 8 hours from this mornings last post.
So 5% down in 8 hours If not turned off?

But then i may have left the settings menu open. And jinxed it.

Close enough?
Yeah but even if you had settings open it would still mirror most people's usage pattern as not everyone will bother to close all apps.

Another test would be welcome nevertheless :)

For those who tests power consumption in suspend mode: be sure you have WiFi and Bluetooth turned off! They both consume power even if you think the device is asleep.

And no, I don't say that DX150 suspend mode is great :frowning2:

It's no Opus, that's for sure. Those DAPs can last a month in sleep mode.

To continue my observations from yesterday -

Stand-by Mode - No Apps Open - Wifi Off - Bluetooth Off - OEM firmware/no updates

6PM - 11AM : battery went from 98% to 89%.

(However, this does not simulate regular usage. If you're not going to power off between use, you're probably not going to bother exiting out of all the apps and wifi/bluetooth either).

I admit I haven't played much with the filters. I prefer slow roll off on other DAPs, but maybe sharp will work better for me. Sometimes I don't really notice much difference, if any. But...I bought the Ibasso specifically because of the opportunity to try out different amp modules. Maybe something more analytical would be good for a different "flavor".
I agree with @twister6 I had the slow roll off (I also have Noble IEM's) and the highs seemed a little soft, I changed to fast and they have more detail, but not harsh.

..with Sharp Roll-off I hear a faster attack and more sparkle, with Slow Roll-off I feel the attack is a little slower while sparkle is the same, and Super Slow Roll off has the slower attack and less air/sparkle in comparison to other filters

Thanks for this! Can I ask where you think the 'linear apodizing' filter fit into all this? That's the one I'm using currently :)

I would say Tidal's user experience is lackluster in general. It's not any worse on the DX150, if that helps. I've been tempted to switch back to Spotify as Tidal's advantages are quickly being outweighed by all it's disadvantages..

Onje of my friends played with Tidal on DX150, and told me it was pretty much as good as it gets for him, he was especially impressed with the sound.

I am not used to Tidal to make a direct assessment, but I think that it was good from what my friend showed me.

I am quite happy with the way both Hiby and Mango Player works though.
