If you have nothing to say, please don't write anything or send silly smileys, thank you
Some people believe that dedicated DAP is always better, and smartphones always sound bad.

Based on measurements alone, i wouldn't bother with DX120. It should be a bit more powerful, but i wouldn't be surprised if you find it a downgrade in sound quality.

OK, I'm curious! then why don't people buy cheap LG smartphones?
Better battery performance, faster user interface, much narrower and more manageable, and also cheaper. you can even take good photos on the go, have a navigation system for the car and many other things.

The dx120 is better than the G7 in all aspects of sound (which still sounds good for a smartphone), especially in the sub bass, but also in resolution and vocal and treble performance.
Listen over the 2.5 mm balanced cable from ultrasone. I am very pleased.
But why does the cable cost over € 200?

Hi - I just got the DX120 - it is actually charging at the moment, but I tried to play it with my Tin Hifi P1 IEMs, and it sounded sublime on the balanced out. I am going to finish charging and start using - can't wait. My question is should I update the Firmware? It looks like it presently has 2.0.0, which I assume is the original. I have looked through this thread quite a bit, and it seemed as if there was some dispute whether the latest firmware (2.9.21) was buggy. What is the consensus for DX120 listeners now? Also, what is the verdict on Lurker's version. My previous DAP was the DX90, and I often used Lurker versions to great success. Anyways, any advice on what a new DX120 user should do regarding updating firmware would be useful!
