I am working on my review for this DAP, super good sounding, all about the music. The sound quality is very good, especially the 2.5mm output. I am impressed with the power to drive my hybrid IEMs. The UI is better than average, I have really learned to enjoy using it.

I was impressed at how the balanced cleaned up the sound of the Meze 99 Classics. So, I've gone ahead and ordered a balanced cable for my Etymotics- I'm really looking forward to hearing how that sounds!

Just took a plunge for it :D

Since I intend to review further gear, the reference signature the compact size and of course the iBasso touch I do miss since parting with the DX200 will be much appreciated.

Solved my problem. Small letter "w" on Wallpaper. Thanks guys. :D

Do you mean that you accidentally had a small w or do you mean it is supposed to be a small w?

edit: nevermind... I figured it out.. the wallpaper folder has to be spelled with a small w. I wish the instruction manual had clearly emphasized this point. I found a wallpaper that I think looks nice with it.

Yup. It automatically makes Wallpaper capital "W" in the root folder. So you have to create it on the desktop. Paul said he it was a good catch and would inform others who may be confused in the future. :)

In the loading Instructions it states load it into the Internal Memory. The DX120 does not have internal Memory? Am I missing something?

It has a ROM memory even if it doesn't have RAM, otherwise it couldn't run an OS...

Mine should be there in a couple of days :)

Oh sorry. I forget to update some parts copied from DX50/80/90 post. You can copy update.img to root directory of micro SD card and put in DX120 slot. :)

That is correct, the version above (and also the one I received below) will be finalized with one large opening between 3.5mm and 2.5mm ports to allow balanced cable plugs (without a step collar at the base of the connector) to go in all the way.
