this one is a lot better, especially if one loves vocals. http://www.yypa.hk/cables/tucana.html

i have tried it before. it lacks the sparkly highs that ares 2 offers.
cheers for the recommendation

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this - I know they spent a long time trying to find the best cable

will most likely pair with
http://www.effectaudio.com/upgrade-cables/iem-cables/iem-premium-series/standard/ares-ii.html or
http://www.pw-audio.com/no-5
i can tell u they sound excellent for the price. with an upgrade cable, it can reach totl standard.

I agree - been reviewing them today :) Do you have any concerns that a silver wire may make them a tad too bright?

a silver cable will most likely make its treble too analytical. of course, it depends on the quality and purity of your cable.

I know what you are saying - with 'some' digital low end / bass Im finding  they seem to struggle a bit too accurately & fully replicate the sound
although only with excessive bass, i would say - think James Blake!
Im finding though with analog bass though they are just superb - give them some cello or bass guitar and they sing! Band of Gypsies is divine
Also Im finding tips can make a big difference - Definately need to find a good symbiotic set
Will review fully in a few days
Burn in is changing them a fair amount so we'll see how this pans out after another 25 hours :)
If this issue remained I don't think its neccesarily a problem because these headphones have not been tuned to be bass monsters!
and as such I dont think they will attract your average 'Beats' listener

Thanks.

Aside from this "issue", I found that there's nothing wrong with the IT03.
They are a very enjoyable IEMs, at least for me

iBasso IT03 unboxing

Does the package include rings that go with the nozzles (just like dunus)?.......coz it seems the nozzles dont have lips and the tips slip till the end of nozzle.

No rings but if you look closely, the nozzle seems to be a little wider in the front to prevent tips from slipping off. At least I haven't had any issue so far.
