I am seeking help from the headphone gods...your help is greatly appreciated.
I currently own Logitech Wireless Headset H800, which comes fairly close, but I was wondering if there was something better. I would rate them as:
Microphone quality: Pretty good. Works with Dragon
Battery life: Poor, only about 6 hours on a charge. My main criticism.
Sound quality: average. I would like a larger dynamic range. This is second biggest criticism.
Comfort: average. Not great for laying in bed. The on-ear foam pads don't get hot, which is good.
- I am looking for wireless (Bluetooth, or WiFi if they exist) headphones with microphone that are accurate enough for dictation using Dragon.
- This probably means a boom microphone, which is okay.
- Also should provide quality sound for music (classical, rock, indie pop, indie rock, jazz) and spoken voice/audiobook.
- Clear, crisp, warm sounds would be nice with good frequency range. I would like nice bass, but does not need to be ultra-low (The lowest lows I listen to are Tool, Lorde, Broods).
- Sonos Play:3 gives me plenty of bass for my needs, for reference.
- My Sennheiser HD-280 PRO are comfortable and provide great sound quality. Honestly if these things were wireless and had a good boom microphone for dictation, they would be perfect.
- I don't really care if they are on- or over-the-ear, but comfort is pretty important. I will have them on for 8-10 hours during the day doing dictation and then for 30 minutes at night in bed.
- Battery life is important. Ten hours on a single full charge would be the minimum.
