I am seeking help from the headphone gods...your help is greatly appreciated.

  1. I am looking for wireless (Bluetooth, or WiFi if they exist) headphones with microphone that are accurate enough for dictation using Dragon.
  2. This probably means a boom microphone, which is okay.
  3. Also should provide quality sound for music (classical, rock, indie pop, indie rock, jazz) and spoken voice/audiobook.
  4. Clear, crisp, warm sounds would be nice with good frequency range. I would like nice bass, but does not need to be ultra-low (The lowest lows I listen to are Tool, Lorde, Broods).
  5. Sonos Play:3 gives me plenty of bass for my needs, for reference.
  6. My Sennheiser HD-280 PRO are comfortable and provide great sound quality. Honestly if these things were wireless and had a good boom microphone for dictation, they would be perfect.
  7. I don't really care if they are on- or over-the-ear, but comfort is pretty important. I will have them on for 8-10 hours during the day doing dictation and then for 30 minutes at night in bed.
  8. Battery life is important. Ten hours on a single full charge would be the minimum.

I currently own Logitech Wireless Headset H800, which comes fairly close, but I was wondering if there was something better. I would rate them as:

Microphone quality: Pretty good. Works with Dragon
Battery life: Poor, only about 6 hours on a charge. My main criticism.
Sound quality: average. I would like a larger dynamic range. This is second biggest criticism.
Comfort: average. Not great for laying in bed. The on-ear foam pads don't get hot, which is good.

I think the Sennheiser Momentum Wireless is what you are looking for:

I'm not sure how well the microphone performs, but maybe you could try it in a store.

Thanks for the suggestion! They do look like they would meet my needs. The operating time is phenomenal. I totally agree with you that I would need to try the mic to see if it works for dictation. Thanks!

To the forum: does anyone have experience with the mic on the headphones mentioned in the previous post?
