I called beyer's US office today and the operator told me to call tomorrow because the office was closing.

I was wondering if anyone knows the part number for the Leather (not velour) earpads for the beyer headphones. Specifically the DT770pro 80ohm (although I think they're all the same size if I'm not mistaken).

P.S. I think the part number is 407097?

Thanks to anyone that can help me on this.

Doesn't exist.

You can't buy leather earpads except when specifying them along with a Beyer Manufacture order for custom headphones. And then you can add 1 spare pair of pads.

So, you can buy new Manufacture 770's, or find someone who's ordering some Manufacture headphones and convince them to buy you a pair of pads, or you can buy the pleather earpads that are stock on the DT770-M.

(and I don't know the part number for those)

The Part # I have for Black Gen Leather earpads is 580937 (it would have been dt880). But putting both dt770 and 880 Gen. Leather Earpads next to each other I cannot see any difference between them (though there are unquestionably different stock numbers assigned for each). Density of foam cores also seems the same to me.

thanks guys, i'm going to see if i can't get real leather pads with using that part number. otherwise I'll just try to get the pleather ones at least. I don't really like the velour...

I have my confirmation order for the manufactured dt770 phones. The item number for the "genuine black leather earpads" is the same as the one BushGuy stated above. The confirmation order is only a couple weeks old.

Yeah, unfortunately ericj is right.

I have to settle for the leatherette pads that come with the 770-M.

Even worse is that since I'm in Canada, I have to go through this middleman dealer that has exclusive distribution rights for Beyer here. Boo.
