And to take the worries of lack or power away even more, SR60 are actually quite popular for portable cans for those who give a sht of ugly looks and want great sound. They really are efficient cans. X-fi should be more stronger than simply MP3 player, really.

Sup Syndrome.
I saw that you said your budget is $200 max? I suggest you look into the dt770 man. I am NOW A BELIEVER.

Here's my impressions of the dt770/80 that I wrote just now.

I heard em unamped straight out of an ipod with no burn in time(straight out of the box). Best way I can describe em is, AMAZING.

Get them, and prepare to CREAM as your ice melts.

Oh yea, I had the sr80. In my book, the sr80 is best described as high-low-end, while the dt770s are, well, they just are.

DT770 doesnt really work for metal i believe. Basically, or so reviews say, they are headmounted subwoofers with recessed mids. (a BIG no no for metal. they need to be lively)

I guess ur right. I'm no hi-fi'r, lol. I didn't hear the mids as recessed, but once again, I'm no hi-fi'r. All I know is the dt770 OWNS, and should be heard with rock before being dismissed.

Oh yea, one thing I can say is the dt770's bass isn't the only high quality thing it has going for them;p But I only heard them for like 8-10 minutes, so...Yea, I wouldn't say the dt770s are like subwoofers on ur ears in the sense that bass is the only thing you'll hear. You'll hear everything fine with a F'N INCREDIBLE soundstage and EXTREMELY PLAUSIBLE bass. I'd say the dt770's are like subwoofers to your ears because the bass just sounds that natural, like they're fkn coming from the room itself. This is EXACTLY what I've heard with my ears and experienced with my mind, and I wasn't high or anything, lol.

( usually I don't curse--and I even shortened them--but I gotta stress my point, lol=) )

And again, I had a rock can, the sr80's... And I can say rock or not, the dt770 OWNS THEM, LOL!

I think I've decided.
Based upon people's opinion and my taste in music, I'll go with the SR-60's.

However, I also plan on getting the Sennheiser or something later, as a compliment. Heh.

Thank you for all your answers! (and making my wallet empty)
