i wanna expand my listening experience and i had a grado

i enjoy my sr225 but wish i can listen to cans of different sounding at affortable price of $200 or less, preferably closed, any suggestion

The Beyerdynamic DT250/250 sounds fairly nice to me...

It all depends. What charateristic(s) of the 225's are you looking for a contrast to? Every manufacturer's house sound is going to have their own quirks. Also, if you haven't tried different pads on the Grados yet, consider that instead of (or in conjunction with) new cans. I just put Senn 414 pads on my 225's, and cannot believe the difference they made.

that's a good thing about grado , can try different pads will sound like different headphones. hmm i want something less bright , more accurate tone, abit 3d effect kinda like senn but not so dark , jackson you are using a killer setup, wow maybe akg 240s is my ans
