I think I'll get a Canoscan 9950F scanner since it can handle prints as well as slides and negs.

I can get it online for about AUD$680. Does anyone know if this is a decent scanner?

I've already have a Canon printer so I thought I'd get a Canon scanner that can do 4800dpi.

In the same price range, (~$780 AUD) there's the Nikon Coolscan V. I mention this only because it features Digital ICE. I've seen this used on my photos, and the difference is astounding. Just brilliant.

However, the resolution is lower (2900 dpi, I believe), if that's really important to you.
