I think I found my perfect Mint Tin

Was shopping at Fresh Market the other day and came across these Chimes Ginger chews in a Aluminum Tin.

Its slightly different than the usual Altoids. A little shorter in length, but rather than split the top off horizontally, its essentially just a cap on one end. If i mount the amp's to the cap, which is fully removable, it would make drilling the holes and mounting a piece of cake, but might make actually snapping the cap on a bit more difficult. I'll give it a try today....

As for the look though, it looks damn nice IMO.

Hmmmmm, Should I mount the amp in the bottom or the removable top?

If I mount it on the bottom, it makes battery removal insanely easy, you just slide off the black cover and out pops the battery. Also, mounting it on the bottom keeps the logo the correct direction when its sitting on a desk.

What do you think?

(On a side note, I normally despise Green LED's and always use White LED's, but with this one, I might swap out the white for a green, just kinda seems fitting)

Just get some candy-coat paint from your local hobby store in the green variety and paint the led. The more coats you put on the darker green it will be... or richer green, however you want to look at it.
