O.M.G...

The guy was a contributor, 500+ posts, few but flawless feedback... now he has gone missing... I guess nothing is enought...

1. I paid him 30th of March, he said he will ship it right away.
2. Contacted again 4th of April, and he said messed up a bit but will ship ASAP. Even offered me refund, ***, but I am patient guy so I let him take his time.
3. Few days ago sent him an email and PM, but got no contact. Dont have a phone no. so this is it...

I have now opened a dispute to Paypal and hoping it will do something. What piss me off it that apparently this guy has some problems with morals earlier too, when I searched the web by his name...

It is only 140 bucks, but... #"&%¤"#!/%#"#"!

Sure he hasn't gone on vacation/ill/bereavement?

Just a thought...

But I hope you get your money back or goods, eventually.

Since you are in Finland the shipping could be very slow if the shipping is international. Sometimes items take 6-8 weeks to reach their intended destination in such cases. But if the sale is local .... well good luck!

x2 what I was thinking..what is up Earl..long time no talk

To the OP, give it a few days, the parcel may be trackable if there is tracing number available from the seller,

hope it works out

I have done many trades with US members and everytime has gone swiftly and packages have arrived in about a week. Also, I have paid for faster shipping (5-10 days). Four weeks has gone now...

I am patient... but at least he could have inform me if he cant ship or has shipped. He is a graphic designer or whatnot so he is using the net and familiar with it. I think this will close all the vacation etc. options. The only thing left is illness, which, of course, I hope it is not the case.

Btw... you guys/gals think I am a impatient guy because I have recieved only one message within four weeks, and that, too, was a mere reply to my message...? Thanks for nothing!

Also, I havent harrased or pressed him by messages, only one after few days after he has promised to send, if you dont count the other one I sent few days ago...

I can wait even a year, if the communication is right and I am aware of the situation (just read my feedback). Now, I just know that he is gone and there is in other forums with his contact info about "not-so-honest" issues...

I agree with Yen. It's been quite awhile with no communication. I'd be getting a bit worked up, too.

You've got the seller's name, right? He's got a website listed in his profile. It shouldn't be too difficult to find an address and a phone number. I'd get the number and call to see what's up. The seller hasn't had any posts on Head-Fi for a few weeks.

well, put an update on his feedback regarding the situations, you can always edit it later. At least if there's more people in the same situation of yours, they'll know it from his feedback thread.

I'll ditto that it never takes 6-8 weeks to reach Finland by airmail or global priority. More like 6-8 days tops. Pretty much everything goes through customs but that adds a day or so. Now if USPS sent it by surface mail by mistake, then you're talking 6-8months (happened to me once), but it was my mom so I knew how to get in contact with her. High post count members have gone crazy before, but hopefully this will get cleared up.

Wow, your mom was sent by USPS and it took 6-8 months? that's crazy.... Good thing she brought her mobile phone and charger....

Anyways... Customs can hold on to a package for quite a long time, never happened to me that long, but I read that it took up to 2 months sometime...

I'd look the profile up and look when the forum member was last online... there are many things that could happen to someone which unables him to sent or communicate or even get behind a computer. I hope that won't be the case though...

LOL, my mom sent the package - it was Christmas gifts and my Playstation. Had priority all over it, but it was sent surface mail.

I've never seen customs here hold onto a package that long. Since every freaking thing you buy gets hit with a customs charge, they're at least efficient about it.

Second that. I've been thru many disputes in eBay over the years - you can't believe how weird things can turn and make it look like a scam. He might be flooded in NY, his HDD died, his notebook stolen and he lost your info, car crashed, kids wasted etc etc etc.

I'd say try any other way of communication to remind him about his commitment. If he's in a mess or on crutches (like I am now), he could completely forget about it.
