after hearing radiohead live a few weeks ago and since then heavily playing hail I've noticed that I enjoy the album much more than before I heard the live material. they were so good live that I think it has just given me a new appreciation for what they do in the studio, I think this may change my ranking of their albums to some degree, I'm not sure how though....

I'd have to say hail to the theif is my favorite album.
i know others are more "respectable" but I love how they have maintained their artsy experimental electronica sound but reintroduced the radiohead rock of old.

good times

Seeing Radiohead live about 20 days ago definitely changed how I listen to HTTT. Don't get me wrong, I liked the album to begin with, I just didn't really think it was as good as I might have been hoping for. I think it's one of the year's best albums so far... but seeing them play 8 or 9 songs from the album definitely brought life to some of the songs. For example, I actually really enjoyed The Gloaming played live, which I would never have expected. I used to never even be able to listen to that track without hitting the skip button.

But Radiohead is excellent in concert, I couldn't say enough good things about how great a show they put on. It was really quite fantastic. As I was exiting the stadium, I overheard many comments about the show, and I didn't hear a single negative comment. I think every single person must have walked out with their money well spent.

I've never been to a concert before that has had a 17-song set, and a 4-song first encore and then a 3-song second encore on top of that. Oh and also, Michael Stipe came out to sing the chorus of Karma Police.

Next time I'm gonna try and get closer to the stage. I mean like right up there, so I can clearly see all the gadgets they got on stage with them.

You guys are so lucky... It doesn't seem likely Radiohead will head down to Australia anytime remotely soon. Sigh.
