Just a tip not necessarily directed to the OP:

By default, blogs cannot be viewed by guests; in other words, people have to sign in just to view the blog. If you want others to see your entries, I suggest you allow guests viewership by going into the Blog Control Panel and under the Permissions and Privacy and Guests may..., check on the box next to View your blog.

I don't usually look at blogs but once in a while I click on a blog link by accident and if I see something interesting there I'll read it but typically no.

Keep it short and sweet (twitter style) and I might read a couple posts.
