I'm quite new as you see here, because I lack the in depth knowladge of music, headphones and sounds. I'm improved way much since I found this site after started my mini course on audio engineering few months back (I got a cert

). I do not visit much forums, 2-3 at most since time and interest are not on my side. But I do sincerely thank you all for providing me with some interesting side to music, Miles Davis being one.

2 years ago, I would have given you a wide grin if you told me I'll replay this cd, Kind of Blue over and over again in my comp, which is filled with pop, rock, rap which I find head bobbing too, ralrey fills your heart with joy and calmness knowing you are enjoying music how they wanted you to enjoy. No electronic ****, just human, talent and creativity at it's best. I admit I wasn't impressed at first on my brother's hi-fi ..the bass was too loud and the sax was too high. but as time goes, the understanding of it grows along, I suddenly found me enjoying it very much. very very much. This is one piece of music I'll find sad that no one around me is going to enjoy it anymore than I ever will.

Diana Krall, Norah Jones and Jazz stuffs remains another love I found from here. I heard Jones on somewhere, and was only even more convinced by the good things people here have to say about her, the first impression I got was great, the 2nd one was out of this world. I remain a humble newbie in this field, but a happy one with the knowlagde it can only get better from here.

I would and can go on about rock, or classical ,but for now time is not on my side, I bid you goodbye with a sincere thanks fro mthe deep warm end of my heart.

WOW that has got to be one of the best written posts I have ever seen on Head-Fi. He even made me consider trying jazz. I have heard old blues and kind of liked that. I picked up a Johnny Lang cd and really like that. I think that Johnny is considered blues.
Too bad Newbiez has a time shortage. I would love reading more of his posts.

This forum got me listening to some music that I never thought I would enjoy also. The Darkest Desires thread is where I can be found often. I guess I will have to watch those Jazz threads.

Oh no, everyone does their bid in a forum. I've read many thread around here, some of those more or less has made me downloaded new music waiting to be discovered. Tool, Modest Mouse, Cowboy Junkies, Sunny Day Real Estate, Athenaeum is the only few bands that made its debut to me over here.

I like to think I've had the pleasure to understand how good a music can be, I grew up from pop and the usual radio friendly environment and it's quite a pleasure to find something you enjoy very much. Nobody here, at least from what I know enjoys any of the music I'm into. It's quite hard to keep up with the ongoings of the music world sometimes, but when you get that song, that message or subtle simplicity a song passed along, you understood why it was all that worth it.

I've learned that soundtracks can be classy as well as fun. Again I would have looked at you weirdly if you told me that I might enjoy the Gladiator soundtrack, or LoTR's. But it did convinced me enough to watch Gladiator on DVD and discovered that the little backgrounds did indeed help the movie much, and I ended up enjoying it. (Like any men will at intelligent violence

) I'm qutie looking forward to having a good listen too at the soundtrack if the chance ever comes along.

As times goes, the main thing you want from anything, especially a online experience is warmth and comfort. Most of you guys here doesn't treat each other like professionals at work or in a help forum, answering a question then move along. You do a little debate if it was possible and elevate a song that you really think you loved it. Can anyone tell me you haven't found a band that interested you enough to listen them out purely by a word from somewhere in this forum ?

It has been a truly good experience for me here, though I never make my presence felt much. But I can only thank all of you that much for making yours does.

You are so right. On most tech fora people only say the things neccessay.
Not a word offtopic making it like reading a math book.
On Head-fi things are not that stricked, making it more personal and feels like there is respect. Something you cannot makeout when you only talk about dry tech stuff.
This makes things more pleasant to read and participate. Yet the informative side doesn't suffer.
