I see a few DARTH's for sale on the forum

As i understand it the DARTH's are modded/woodied DT-770. DT-770 stock is two tier below DT-990.


I already have DT-990 (05, 250 ohms) and Denon D5000, would the DARTH still a downgrade compare to the two pairs i have currently?

No, they're an upgrade over the stock beyers.

I think MrLA was asking how the Darths compare to his two current cans, the DT990 and the D5000. They're probably too different to say for sure.

Upgrades and downgrades are really subjective, especially comparing such different cans. I think there's only one way to find out.

Get the Darth Beyers and see how you like them compared to your current phones.

everytime i see the DARTH i think of Dodge Neon with a PT Cruiser shell.

I'll take it they sound differently alright. but do the DARTH sound as neutral as the DT-990 or with slightly added details like D5000?
