I'm sure it's possible, you just have to worry about how much output (wattage) you're going to get out of it. Output transformers are where a lot of the money goes in a tube amp.

Check on the DIY section I think that ppl showed a project there for cheap, and it is supposed ot sound very good, they are calling a group buy for the borads IIRC....

it's a cavalli-jones amp. it's nice because it has variable feedback so you could use high or low imped. headphones.
