I have been using Bose Triport over the ear headphones for years now, and want an upgrade. I want something similar to the triports in that they do not leak much sound. I listen to dave matthews type rock, classical rock, and some hip hop. I use my computer as my output, don't want to buy an amp, but if I had to, I would. Would be occasionally using the headphones with my iPod in the car or in an airplane. Like I said noise leak isn't that important, i just don't want a lot of it. I also want something a little stylish, so i don't look like a complete idiot if I do bring them out of my house. What do you think?

I stand by my HD-600 recommendation from your first post.

My only problem with the Senn 600's is that many people complain about how much sound actually leaks out and in. If i ever wanted to bring them on an airplane, that sounds bad. But i could be wrong I don't know. The triports work perfect on planes. Also, what is with the wacky splatter pattern they used on the 600's.

Thanks for all of your quick responses. And thanks for the ESW9 suggestion, they look sexy. The ESW10 are even better, but are near impossible to find, plus way over my budget. But I'm still looking for a new pair of ESW9 and can only find them for around 290 shipped new. Anything good or bad about the ESW9 i need to know?

Yeah isolation is not that big of a deal for me. But as long as they sound great and look good, I'm in. They are just so hard to find. And prices vary from $490 all the way down to $290... so its just a matter of finding a reputable store with the lowest cost.

So is isolation important, or no?

I don't think that the Senns really leak that much. Less than my Alessandro's, but those leak a lot.

If you want less sound leakage than the Senns, you're really going to have to go closed.

Yeah I'm looking to upgrade to hd 600s from 595s, I think they'd be a great option. Any open headphone will have sound leak out, but If you're really concerned (I dont' know how often you fly) you could get some inexpensive earbuds like the shure e2c which I own and really like (~60 dollars online).
