The one that that turned me off from the HD 555, I heard the HD 555 is extremely loud which makes it useless at night time...

Is there a similar product like the HD 555 that is good for gaming, decent on movies, music, comfort and doesnt leak like the 555?

I know its a lot to ask for, but if its a bit more expensive than the 555, thats OK.....

Heh, I just posted in the ATH-A500 opinions thread. I would suggest them as a great and cheaper replacement for the HD 555's.

Many here claim them great for games/movies and I would not disagree.

They are a closed can and do quite a good job of isolating.

I would argue them as more comfortable than the 555's as well.

If your looking for a little more SQ you could spring for the ATH-A900's which carry almost the same sound signature, but does it a little better.

You're unlikely to find any place to demo them, unfortunately. They're not meant for U.S. distribution, so the only way to get your hands on them is through an exporter like AudioCubes or at a Head-Fi meet.

Try the hd201's at 17.99 from amazon. Not quite in the same class, but not bad(read the headroom review). Got a pair for my daughter for college use(closed), and was surprised at the sound. Then get some open cans for serious listening when leakage is not a problem. JMO.
