I recently ordered a Mjolnir 2 and it was dead on arrival. I'm currently in the process of an RMA. But I was thinking of getting a full refund instead of a replacement. Instead using that money to buy a Monolith liquid platinum. After receiving something like that brand new to be DOA I dont have faith or comfort. Am I making a smart decision? I'm going to be running balanced HD800s and 600s primarily off of these amps.
While I’m not going to take the sting out of having a amp DOA it is one of my favorite Schiit amps but it is hard to reconcile a dead amp as your first time with them and totally understand. If you want to stretch a bit a Audio GD Master9 will definitely run just about anything and is one of my favorites with the 800’s single ended and is just awesome with the Abyss in balanced. Love it with the 800’s.

Is the mjolnir 2 good enough to give a second chance to? Basically after tax and shipping it's an 1,000$ amp. Would I be able to get more for that amount of money elsewhere?
