I've finally broken down and bought an mp3 player. Knowing the included earbuds will be crap, I'm in the market for some other ones. Initially I was interested in Sony's EX70, Senn's MX500, and the E888s. After reading a few threads here, I've ruled out the EX70...especially considering the player I have is a little bass heavy already with no EQ (I got it for it's super tiny size, not features).
That leaves me with the MX500 and E888. Is there anything else I should consider? I plan on using these almost exclusively with my mp3 player (a Nomad Muvo, if it matters) while working out...so laid back or classical music is not really a concern.
One other thing, I already own a pair of E888s. I bought them a year or two ago and used them about two months before I started having problems with the left bud. It would crackle a little and play considerably softer...sometimes going out completely. Wiggling it around would get me some crackles and it would come back to life. I think it's a wiring problem. Could I fix these or should I just spend $20 and get the MX500? Does anyone know how I could go about fixing them or someone who could fix them for me (for cheap)?
Thanks for reading this far into a message from a first-time poster and double thanks for any help/advice you may have.
