I was thinking about spending 50 to 60 dollars but I've seen some good reviews for iem's around the 100 dollar price point. I've never heard any great iem's except the klipsch s4 but apparently they don't sound so good as to what I've read on here.

Can you tell us a little more about what kind of sound you prefer and what kind of music you listen to?

I'm sorry, I missed the price reference in the OP, but I use them with an AK240, they have excellent base and clarity.  I listen to more rock and metal than anything.  I prefer a warmer sound, which I get from these.  Fantastic noise canceling.  I own UE900's that gather dust.  They sound "tinny" compared to my 846's.
