[Armament]

Hello all. I have been struggling to find a good DAC/AMP recently for my setup. I currently run powered studio monitors and headphones. My budget is around $5k. Ideally an all in one unit, but I would be fine with a separate DAC/AMP. At the top of my list is the Benchmark HPA4/DAC3 combo but the HPA4 isn't a good value these days considering the amount of lower priced THX amps out there.

Basically I need something with the following functionality: preamp for the studio monitors, either a switch or auto disable of preamp when plugging in headphones. Ideally the headphone amp would be powerful enough for the Susvara.

Schiit products have the switching ability but I wanted to see what else is out there. Thanks!
