I just took a leap of blind faith and sold my emc1.

While i wait for john tucker at exemplar audio to do the mods on my new denon, i'll need a source for the meantime.

my only requirements:

1) Easy to resell QUICKLY at the price i got it at

2) Less than $1k

The first is more important than the second. (hell, i'd spend $4k if i could turn a profit

thanks

BTW good sound would be nice too, but that should be obvious

edit: realistically, i'd like to spend as little as possible and still "survive" the wait for my modded denon. I don't want to use my d-777

You could try the onecall.com Philips 963 special for $260. Or you could get a used 222ES or 555ES, those definitely retain their value.

thanks for all your suggestions.
I couldn't find the nad for $190.

I ended up getting a rotel rcd-975 for only $175!

I had a 971 in '98 that i paid full retail for (my first audiophile cdp)

Looking back, i feel pretty stupid.

nonetheless, it was a pretty good player, and the 975 is supposed to improve apon it (and even sound better than the 991, which i couldn't afford at the time)
