I need $25 headphones. They're gonna be in my backpack at all times so they will inevitably be abused a little...meaning they need to be a bit durable. I don't really want IEMs but am open to them.

I listen to metal, my source is mp3s off of my flash drive through a computer usually.

$25 is my max...so please don't recommend the Senn PX100s or AKG K81DJs...I know they exist and are great but I don't want to spend that much atm(going to vegas in a week ).

So far I've tried:
  1. Sony MDR-V250 - I thought they sounded like there was a blanket in front of them...not clear at all, no highs, no lows, just crap really
  2. Sony MDR-XD100 - Not too bad for $17. A bit flimsy...I think I can find better.
I think I care about clarity the most but don't want to give up too much bass and/or highs.

KSC-75. I'll get it in there before 400 other people do.

EDIT : Apparently in the 5 minutes since I opened the tab, 3 people have already responded.

Now, I know I'm gonna be going against the crowd on this one, and it probably isn't going to make me any friends, but I've gotta say it anyway: you should get the KSC75.

Amazing... I'm so used to seeing threads w/ 4+ cans being mentioned/supported...

That being said, I too concur w/ everyone else and suggest the KSC75. Koss has a lifetime warranty, plus they sound great (for the price), and they fit your budget.
