HI All: I Feel like I am letting down new members and maybe seasoned members with my constantly changing mind about head-fi stuff. One day I like this and the next day I like that. I seem to be on a constant search for what I don't know. I have had a lot of pm that ask for my advice and I give what I think at the time only to change that advice a few days later and am afraid that the member goes and buys what I might suggest at the time. Then I get into something else and feel that I might have misled the member. My enthusiasm is natural to me for I have had it all my life but it can seem confusing to someone else who has no Idea how it affects my thinking. I must back off posting and enjoy reading the post and let other more stable members post their opinions. I am sorry if I misled any member. Its really not easy being me!

Trying stuff out can be a lot of fun; there is nothing wrong with that! Keep the posts coming, Lou!

Lou,

I always enjoy hearing your opinion. I've bought the AT A1000 and the Shure E2 in part based on your enthusiasm and have been happy with both. Unless you start getting enthusiastic for cr@p, keep on posting!

Lou-
I am alot like you...my old ears like hearing lots of different things...so I like trying everything out. But, I just cannot afford to "collect" it all...but the auditioning is the fun part!

I'll keep on posting even if Im reduced to an am transistor radio with Coby earbuds

Stop if you must but, before you do, please contribute a track to Disc 3 Track 6 on the "Head-fi Virtual CD". It's the top sticky in this forum.

Then....you can quit.

Your enthusiasm and love for sound comes through loud and clear Lou. Keep posting about what you like when you like it. The only difference between you and the rest of us is the pace at which you change your rig. We all go through changes as we try to find what suits us best, we just take a little longer to make the changes.

Stick around and keep posting away. I for one have always enjoyed reading your posts, and am thankful for the enthusiasm you bring to the forum.

I like reading your opinions Lou. They're fun, partly because they do keep changing

I'd say keep posting. No offense, but anyone who relies on one person's opinion to make up their mind when there are many experienced people here is doing themselves a disservice, you're not.

Lou please keep posting.
You have heard a lot of different equipment, and now you have experience and can say what is different between one thing and another. I have seen you do that. Sure your preference may change, but you can still give opinions on your past equipment, as well as your current set up.

I value your opinions. Keep them coming.

Lou: I don't see much of a problem with that. As you aren't into the hobby for too long, yet, but obviously very curious and eager to try new stuff, an intensive experimentation phase with some changes of mind seems only natural to me - as does catching Joelongwooditis, which happens all too easily and seems uncurable, I fear...

It's really interesting to see someone going full circle and end up where they started (kind of, crude generalization). It was an intersting journey, thanks for taking us along for the ride. It's to be continued I am sure...

As for your "problem" with dishing out advices, maybe you can add a disclaimer to your sig

Lou, as you can see many like reading your posts and I consider myself part of that group. Your info on the Grado 225's is part of the reason I bought a pair. Keep posting!

The only problem I see is your amount of enthusiasm (at least since I joined) is spread around so much it's difficult to know its worth. Following the 3000 to RS1 back to 3000 to second 225 back to Etys makes it difficult to know how exactly any of them compared. And with all the reviews so positive, the next "these are great" comment loses a bit of weight right? Reverse boy who cried wolf. That's the only thing I'd be worried about.
