A moderator deleted a avatar that was derogatory to GRADO that I made and I admit that it was a wrong thing to do on my part. Also I apologize to JOHN Grado for any derogatory remarks that I made toward him.

I was just so disappointed. I was really looking forward to the new HF-1 that when I got a bad one I thought of all the GRADOS that I have bought over time and even started the H F-1 fan club. And just lost it when I was told to return it to get fixed.

I have cooled down and when TOD gets back TUE I will return it to him for a refund.

I still have my 225 + C-Pads to enjoy and just got caught up in all the hype as a lot of us have. This was a big thing for allot of us and I will just miss out on it but not hold any hard feelings toward anyone.

Yeah that other thread was getting pretty ugly... Nice to know cooler heads will prevail.

Im sure Todd will do all he can to remedy the situation.

so how that you in a better state to talk about it. Can you clarify what was said between you and John and maybe there was a misunderstand?

Sorry to hear about your disappointment. It's not nice when your new headphones aren't what you expected and I understand your feelings of anger.

It's a pity that you couldn't just have received a new replacement but the limited edition idea has worked against you unfortunately and there probably aren't any new ones to send out.

Hope your next buy is more positive.

Hey Lou, nice post. I hope you maybe reconsider and get yours fixed (maybe Todd will exchange for a new one and then send yours out to get fixed at Grado).

Good luck!

yeah, bummer dude. but good of you to post this. if you're not wed to having a low number, why not return these to todd, ask him to send you another one, and todd can send it back to grado to repair? i'm sure someone will want if even after it's been repaired...just hate to see you miss out on the hf-1.

Get them repaired through Todd lou, or replaced... You know you'll regret it if you just give up on them - They MIGHT be the best thing you've ever put on your head!

Todd offers a 30 day MBG, he mentioned specifically that it applies to the HF-1's. Given a defective set, you are within the time limit and you can return them for a new set. Easy as that! Just wait until he returns, contact Todd who has your money (not John) and off you go! Either you get your money returned or you can get a new set of phones. Or third, you can send to Grado for a fix. If I were you and after a cool off period, I would just send back to Todd for a fresh pair. You know Todd stands by the products he sells and you know Grado will come through. It can all end very amicably (as Genetic would say

Lou- I'm really sorry this happened. I know you must be frustrated as all hell. I would be as you were excited and anticipating these cans. I would hang in there and see if you can be sent a new pair, they are very nice cans. Sorry Lou.

I was actualy working for once and totally missed Lou's previous thread. From what I read here tho Lou is taking the right steps to rectify. Sorry about that Lou, good luck with the next pair!

I can completely relate to your disappointment, Lou. And I (and others I am SURE) are interested to hear the course of resolution to this.

It was good to make that information known, but the discussion, if it could be called that, was heading downhill at an alarming rate.

Regardless of whether you keep or return the cans, I wish you the best with this incident.

Please, not in this thread... and hopefully not in the same day. Why not wait for Todd to return, Lou to speak with him? Then if Lou then wishes to recap events, so be it.

That's just my two cents. I think the topic would do well to continue chilling for a while.

Lou, I agree fully with what the others have said here, and hope that you decide to exchange your pair for another pair of HF-1's. This way, you will be able to fulfill the excitement and anticipation that started in your heart and mind a week ago, and your disappointment wil lgo away for good!

From what I've been reading so far, it seems like they sound wonderful and represent a nice improvement over the SR-225's which I know you enjoy.

It's also quite "big" of you to start this thread even though you still feel some disappointment and frustration.
