As much as i love my HD600's... i'm just craving the grado sound... anyone know where these can be had for cheap?

A pair of SR-200's are on ebay . . . but it's not the typical "punchy" John Grado sound, but it's rather like the neutral HP-1000 sound of Joe Grado's cans.

Damnit I wanted those! Probably retracted because some headphoner offered him a price he couldnt refuse. So which one of you sneaky bastards has the quick emailing skills? And you better write a review

hmm, i had the 200's for a while, i still have the 100's. The 200's were still bright bastards with the bowl pads. I definitely like the 100's with the comfy pads.

??

What amp? I know those particular headphones, and they were anything but bright on the MicroZOTL. It was those SR-200's that convinced me to go after the HP-1. That's when things REALLY started getting out of control...

hehe, out of the cmoy or any amp for that matter. However, they were only bright with the bowl pads, once i threw on comfy pads the brightness was tamed and the fatigue was gone...maybe the fatigue with the bowl pads made it impossible to tolerate for extended periods of time. They really made my ears ache.

They did sound great though.
