I know there's lots of GT4 fans here, but who's gonna buy Forza Motorsport for Xbox?

With all the GT4 fans on here who chucked out the bucks for the game and Logitech steering wheel, I know there has to be plenty of Xbox owners here, so who's bought into the hype of Forza Motorsport? With the reviews that have come out on the internet, Forza favors very well against GT4. The Fanatech Speedster 3 wheel that is being released alongside Forza is supposed to be very good as well, just not as good as the force feedback of the Logitech DFP. So who else is going to the store on Tuesday to chunk out $200 for the game and steering wheel besides me? I'll definately post impressions next week

I'll get the game when it comes out

I decided to lay off the steering wheel (was going to get a MOMO) because of the Next Generation Systems

Yeah, putting down $149 for the steering wheel is debatable when the new Xbox is coming out supposedly this holiday season and won't support it. Oh well, maybe this thread will come alive when more people get it next week.

Got the game and not having played the GT series since GT3, this game is great.

The physics are so real, the sounds of the individual cars, the graphics ... top notch game.

Getting a base car and modifying the engine/turbo/exhaust then going into a race and hearing the difference is very satisfying.

I'm thinking of picking up an xbox just for this game. But what's holding me back is the wheel. After getting spoiled by the Logitech DFP wheel, I don't think I can use anything short of an arcade machine or a real car...
Guess I'll wait, I'm @ 70% in GT4...almost there....

Do you need special equipment to do this or does that particular game offer the ability? Is it possible with 4 monitors to have 4 players playing at once .... each with their car on their own monitor in the same race? Sorry for all the questions, but I had no idea anything beyond one game/one monitor could be done with an x-box.

I'm not exactly sure how they stretched the image over 3 TVs in that setup, but it is possible to play 4 players at once on 4 monitors. It just has to be with 4 Xboxes hooked up through a LAN, as only 1 Xbox can be hooked up per TV. I'm pretty sure this game should have System Link (LAN) support, but even if it doesn't, from what I have read the Xbox Live support is amazing, as you can even play through the career mode playing online against other players.

It is a feature built into the game. Using a network hub/switch, you can also have the game stretched across 3-4 screens. No special equipment required, well except for having 3 XBox's, 3 TV's, 3 Copies of the Game, and networking equipment.

That picture is of a friend of mine playing a demo of it at last year's E3. I talked with the developers and apparently they were working on having 4 screens available, where one could be a rear view mirror view, or an external view of the race.
Not sure if that made it for the final.

I bought this game yesterday when it came out, and it is great. The way you can adjust difficulty (and increase credits) by changing settings like TCS, ABS, Damage, Race Line, AI, ect are great.

I am at about 5% done with 60k credits and 8 cars.

I started out NOT liking this game but as I progress it seems to be getting better. The damage feature is nice...the graphics are not bad. Car selection isnt a patch on GT4. Tracks are not as realistic as GT4 (in terms of accuracy and faithfulness to the real thing).

All in all...enjoyable.

But I am HOOKED on GT4 and raping the Nurburgring with a variety of cars at 10 difficulty.
