I don't smoke but I still am saving money for upgrading my rig. But let's say that you are a smoker and you spend $4 for a pack of cigarettes a day which is about the average price in the U.S.

If you quit smoking and set aside your cigarette money for a year. That's 365 x $4. You will have $1,460!!!! That's a lot of money! You can use that money to up grade to a Singlepower amp or your dream headphone or get a killer DAC or some kind of uptown CD player. If you do smoke and want to upgrade, let Head fi help ya quit. Head fi helped improve my health by helping me lose weight since I now eat less.

after a year and you get your Singlepower or that uptown CD player, you can then return to your habit and enjoy your cigarettes or kind buds.

If I quit living, I'd so save enough to buy a nice speaker setup.

I don't smoke but once in a while I do enjoy a cigarette. Cigarettes can be fun though I have to admit. My friend who is a die hard smoker still buys good hi-fi stuff but he budgets in other ways. For example, he does does not throw away food if it's past the expiration date. Unless it's really past the expiration date, then he'll throw it out. He also is terrible tipper in restaurants. Although I don't condone that. I try to tip well.

For medicinal purposes as a weight loss supplement; And the internet provided the sourse where I buy in bulk @ $71 per 5lbs North Carolina Gold, roll your own with fine French OCB glueless papers @ $16 for 24 books w/150 papers each... Big savings over per pack commercial smokes. And more for Head-Fi;=}

Food is so over rated;=}

My uncle buys cigarettes in bulk. That is a smart way to save. Although he is a constant chain smoker.

I quit smoking cigarettes like 5 years ago, and I am still using that to justify spending . . . .

Due to the miraculous rules of German taxation, you can now buy filter cigarillos over here for ~ 1.50 Euro, while a pack of cigarettes is ~ 4 Euro. So it's cigarillos for me, since I've discovered that...

Greetings from Hannover!
