Well I just got em. GREAT! I love the sound these were a great buy. They block out sound and keep sound in. There also really really easily powerd. Good sound too. But the highs and treble are very detailed and *cough*bright *cough*. But thats okay. Maybe I shouldnt post impressions 5 minutes out of the box. Anyone know of some good burn in stuff? I know its pink noise and all. But where do I get this stuff.

I must agree with you about the

perhaps exaggerated high-mid's

I guess it's the best frequencies to monitor mistakes

however

it's still great sounding

if the mid-high were toned down closer to flat

i'd say these's be close to being the ultimate closed cans

I haven't heard the beyer 250-80 and I am wondering if they are a bit less bright with the same bass?

I did the natural thing about burning them, i listened to them everyday. After 2 weeks they were fabulous from there on in. Get the Beyer Velour pads for extra comfort!

BTW, as gloco suggested, the Beyer velour pads are much more comfy than the original pleather pads. You might want to check 'em out.
