New Head-Fier
Hi,
I'm a new member, this is my first post. I am a musician and have been using my universal Westone UM Pro30 IEMs for about 3 years, playing in a bar band. They have been OK. My bandmates all have custom IEMs, like Ultimate Ears and 1964, and so I thought I'd try improving my experience by getting my IEMs reshelled, or by getting custom tips. I started reading threads on here, and decided to get my impressions made at a local audiologist (I paid $50). Now I've been reading more threads, and it sounds like reshelling might be risky, and I've read mixed reviews about custom tips such as the UM56. I feel like I may have wasted $50.00
. Can anyone who has done the reshelling or the custom tips offer me any advice? Should I just write off the 50 dollars and stop now and be happy with my Westone Truefit foam tips, or take the plunge into reshelling or custom tips (and if so, which one?). For reshelling, I was considering inearz.
Thanks!
Joel
