Hey Head Fiers (?) i am on my lunch
please excuse punctuation and capitalization im sorry!
i bought a new pair of shure scl4 s. i heard great things about them and i thought i would take the plunge. i previously went from the cx300s and those were great IMO. i knew that the bass from the shures werent going to be as much as the cx300s but that was alright with me as i wanted a mid and high boost from these new iems.
i researched a ton aheadof time. i tried all the sleeves and ended up with the small foams. i knew something was wrong when all the sleeves felt like bloody murder in my ear but that was a price to pay i figured. the bass is actually decent to me, however the highs hurt my ears. they sound tinny and rather harsh. in every sleeve i tried. i tried my pc and my ipod touch and ipod 80. the mids and lows are stellar but wow those highs are just not what it should be i thought..
is there a trick to these iems? i know that balanced armature drivers dont need a burn in time but i have them going right now on a song shuffle in hopes that well unbrighten the highs.
also i dont know what a soundstage should
