I have the ATH-A500s in mind, any other suggestions?

Looking to get some cans for my setup, I have a nano and am going to buy a headphone amp, now Im wondering of these are good for what I listen to. I listen to hip hop and rap, but I dont like overwhelming bass, most of my music isnt even bass heavy, I like bass, but I like it the tight and punchy kind...I usually use the Rock EQ on my ipod, would these A500s suit me well? Im open to other suggestions

A big plus for me is comfortability, I wear my headphones for extended periods of use, and I like how the A500s look, they look very comfortable.

Yeah, the A500's would suit. Bear in mind that they are quite big, so not for portable use.

Oh they wont be, Im building a mini audio setup for my home use

AT has the ATH-A900 limited edition, might wanna check that out
