What kind of relation is there between "160 kbps" and having variable bitrate at "Highest". Is there ANY relation between the two? Maybe the "160 kbps" doesn't mean anything when you have variable bitrate selected. Otherwise there would be 112 possible options for variable bitrate, most of which would be completely redundant.

Also... Is there any reasong I shoud use Lame, or use Itunes to rip my songs into higher quality MP3, when I can just use the Creative program that's coming with my Vision: M, in the mail?

---Thanks.

Bitrate settings for MP3 (not AAC) for VBR in iTunes is the mimimum bitrate. So in that case it would be 160 and higher. LAME will give you more flexibility in VBR settings.
