i-Grado portable headphones

They're terrific. I own several sets of portables (PX100, KSC75, iCans, had portapros and a few others) and they are my favorite so far. I do like to switch between these and the PX100s because they're very different. You're getting the typical Grado sound with a little more bass on the cheap.

My PX100's have just broke, that's what I'm replacing. Is there a big difference between the i-Grado's and the PX100's? Also whilst searching around now I've just come across a set of Ultimate Ears Metro.fi 2 buds for £40. How do they compare? I realise you wear them differently but I mean how does sound quality compare?

Yes...there's a difference. The PX100s are warmer with emphasis in bass. The highs are a little rolled off compared to the iGrados. The iGrados have a mid-bass punch and they have a little more energy. The PX100s are very good headphones, though.
