HI: I got the super mini V-3 today and a/b it with the mini 9 volt V-2 amp. The V-3 sounded a lot better than the V-2 even with the 9 volt batt. The V-3 is more fuller and and better bass and it only uses 3 AAA batt. The only thing that I don't like is that there is no on light. Fixup told me it is because we all can't wait to get the amp and the light would take more time to make. It was typed in in a sarcastic way I think. The amp is worth the 99.00 and sounds real good with my mini disc and Eggo D66 portable headphones.

good to hear Lou! I have the last-gen version and am happy with it. i only wished that there was an output jack, instead of the built-in wire and mini plug output. but thats ok. i don't use it that much but i keep it because it's such a neat (and niche) little piece of technology.
