HI ALL: I got my 580s back today with the new baffle in them. I can hear a difference already. There is more low end and over all punch. Also the 580s are louder than before. I don't know if thats because the driver was on the way out or because of the new baffle. The tech sent me back the old baffle and it is a spring surrounded by a half inch of paper. The new baffles are the same spring surround by nylon. This baffle is at the button of the spider like center of the driver. The 580s sound a lot better to me but now for a 100 hour burn in.

I do have the equinox replacement cable now with the new drivers and new baffles these cans are diffidently not laid back.
PS
I didn't realize how clasped my ear pads were. Now with the new ear pads the 580s are a little further from my ears and give a better sound stage.

I assume you feel that I posted to many treads on this issue. If I offended you I am sorry. But this is what I did and don't feel bad about it. If it was to many treads for you than why did you read them all. I try to do better in the future and group my treads together. OK?
